Behind the Life & Music: Kyle Moon & The Mislead

Today, we would like to introduce you to Kyle Moon & The Mislead.

Kyle Moon & the Misled is a band out of San Antonio, Texas by way of Denver, Colorado. The band comprises Kyle Moon (Rhythm guitar, vocals) Sam Kilgore (Lead guitar) Terrell Mabrito (Bass) Colin Bryant (Lap Steel and guitar) and Josh Jiminez (Drums and producer).

Kyle Moon honed his songwriting skills in an Indie/Americana band in Denver, Colorado. His music, heavily influenced by American Rock’n’Roll, garnered a large following and notoriety at many of the key venues in downtown Denver. At the height of his band’s popularity, Kyle moved to San Antonio, Texas where the band “Kyle Moon & the Misled” began to take shape. He immersed himself in the rich musical history of Texas and developed a great admiration for legends such as Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings. The resulting influence can be heard on Kyle Moon & the Misled’s August 2019 full length release “Straight Fine Livin’” Now, following in the footsteps of Texas songwriters such as Townes Van Zandt, Doug Sahm, and Ryan Bingham, the band splits their time between Texas and Colorado with a sound that is equal parts Texas Outlaw Attitude and Laid Back Southwest Swagger.
